The first hand-harvested Chardonnay of Vintage 2025 arrived safely at the Idée Fixe winery on Tuesday, 11 February, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exceptional season in Karridale.
At first light, the vineyard comes alive with the quiet rhythm of harvest. Led by Vineyard Manager Tristan Moore, over 40 hand-harvesters move through the rows with precision and patience, carefully selecting each bunch at the perfect balance of sugar and acidity.
Coordinating a harvest of this scale is no small feat. Each day requires meticulous planning and seamless collaboration between our vineyard and winery teams, who work together to time every pick to perfection. From monitoring ripeness to managing logistics, every decision is made with the singular goal of preserving the purity and elegance that define Idée Fixe Chardonnay.
