We are thrilled to announce that James Suckling has recently published his reviews of the Idée Fixe Premier Brut and Brut Rosé. Suckling’s tasting notes and insights can be explored below or online via jamessuckling.com.

“The nose is discreet and inviting, showing aromas of lemon curd, oyster shells, cookies, sea salt and grapefruit rind. The light-to-medium bodied palate has a finely beaded mousse and focused acidity, with notes of orange blossoms, chalk and lime zest. Wonderfully complex and integrated. Made from 100% Chardonnay, with 30 months aged on its yeast. Disgorged January 2024.”

– 94 points, Idée Fixe Premier Brut Blanc de Blancs 2021.

“Copper-salmon in appearance. The nose is lifted, showing notes of orange blossoms, lemon pith, red-apple skin, watermelon rind and grapefruit. The palate is light-to-medium bodied with finely beaded mousse and striking acidity, showing notes of lime curd, flint, fresh strawberries and Turkish delight. Wonderfully complex and giving. 92% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Noir with 24 months en tirage.”
